Mr. Goosen is a Red Seal journeyman electrician who has been teaching at L.S.R.C.S.S. since September 2016, instructing grades 10 to 12 the accredited level 1 apprenticeship for construction electrician, industrial electrician, and power electrician. Prior to this, he worked as a construction electrician for 21 years.
A student graduating from the high school Electrical Trades Technology program with a 70% average in the eight courses (from grades 10 - 12) can seek entry level employment as an apprentice electrician. In order to be qualified and pursue a career as an electrician, students must seek apprenticeship and continue post-secondary training within 2 years of graduation.
